The security guard of Tyshchenko made a deal with the investigation: agreed to testify against the deputy

The bodyguard of People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko, Kostyantyn Tsubera, who is suspected along with him of attacking a soldier in Dnipro, reached a plea deal with the investigation and agreed to testify.

This is stated in the court verdict from November 13, as found here.

According to the document, Tsubera pleaded guilty to unlawful deprivation of liberty committed by prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and torture (Part 2 of Article 127).

On November 7, he reached a plea agreement and committed to cooperating with the investigation and providing incriminating evidence against other individuals involved in the criminal offense, including People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko.

The deputy’s bodyguard was sentenced to five years of imprisonment, but, since he entered into a plea agreement, the court released him from serving the sentence, replacing it with a two-year probation period.

This means he was released from punishment on the condition that he does not commit a new criminal offense within two years.

Furthermore, he must periodically appear for registration to the supervision authority, report any change of residence, employment, or study, and not leave Ukraine without permission. He was released from the detention center, with the court collecting 6058 hryvnias from him to cover the costs of court examinations on behalf of the state.
