Ukraine requests missile defence systems to destroy ICBMs, - media

Ukraine is appealing to the USA for air defense systems capable of destroying new Russian ballistic missiles.

This is reported by "Ukrinform", citing sources.

"Ukraine does not have the means to intercept intercontinental missiles, unlike the USA, which has such means. Ukraine plans to send a request to the USA for the transfer of these weapons," the source said.

Ukraine is interested in obtaining upgraded "Patriots" or the Aegis system, which is used by the navy.
