In Kyiv, people are protesting against the construction of a military cemetery

An anti-construction protest for a military cemetery in the suburbs is taking place at Maidan in Kyiv.

Residents of the nearby village of Markhalivka have already expressed their dissatisfaction with this construction. They claim that the authorities intend to cut down 260 hectares of forest to accommodate the cemetery.

The cemetery construction, costing 1.75 billion UAH, will be carried out by a company that was established a day after the announcement of the tender.
