In the TOT, Russians will seize houses through fabricated debts

The Russian government in the occupied Melitopol has decided to recalculate utility bill debts for local residents. The occupiers have devised a scheme under which utility debts are calculated from the moment the city was occupied.

This was reported by the National Resistance Center on December 14.

“And the countdown began from the arrival of the ‘Russian world’ in the city, despite promises of debt forgiveness. As a result, people have ended up with huge amounts that are impossible to pay off,” the report states.

Based on these debts, the Russians will impose arrests on property and confiscate it in favor of the so-called ‘young republic’.

Analysts from the National Resistance Center emphasize that all legal documents issued by Russia have no legal force, and property owners as of February 24, 2022, retain their rights to the property, regardless of any documents that the occupiers may issue.
