At the border, a Ukrainian woman’s "suitcase of silver" with 14.5 kilograms of jewelry was confiscated
In the Odesa region, border guards of the Izmail detachment, together with customs officers, discovered a large batch of silver jewelry that a Ukrainian citizen attempted to import from abroad without declaring.
This was reported on Facebook by the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service.
"A 19-year-old bus passenger traveling from Turkey to Ukraine concealed silver jewelry in her luggage with a total weight of 14.5 kg," the report states.
It is specified that this occurred at the "Orlivka" checkpoint.
In connection with this incident, customs officers prepared a protocol for the article on the non-declaration of goods for commercial purposes. The discovered jewelry was confiscated pending a court decision.
