Ministry of Defence will increase the financial support for cadets in 2025

From next year, financial support for cadets of military higher education institutions. 

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defence Serhiy Melnyk at a meeting with cadets of the National Ground Forces Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi.

According to him, starting from March 2025, first and second-year cadets will receive payments at the level of the minimum wage in Ukraine, which is 8 thousand hryvnias. Considering that wages will increase, financial support will also be raised by the corresponding coefficient. 

Third and fourth-year cadets, who are equated to contract service, will receive over 20 thousand hryvnias.

During his visit, Melnyk also acquainted himself with the organization of the educational process and the living conditions of the cadets.

"The academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi remains one of the leading institutions that trains the best officers for the Defence Forces of Ukraine. Creating proper learning and living conditions for cadets is one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Defence," he concluded.
