The head of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Volodymyr Buhrov, promised to take measures regarding Professor Mykyta Vasylenko following the latest incident.

Buhrov reported this in a comment to hromadske.

"Actions will be taken. The situation is unpleasant. I do not support Professor Vasylenko’s statements and I condemn them," said the head of the KNU.

When asked what specific measures would be taken, he added: "Those provided by the law. You studied law, didn’t you? There are relevant aspects in the labor code. As a result, he will be punished according to the current legislation, so that the decision cannot be appealed in court later."

As reported, on December 23, the Institute of Mass Information noted that Vasylenko stated on the Russian media politnavigator.net, access to which is blocked in Ukraine, that "the arrival of foreign military in Ukraine will improve the demographic situation."

"Imagine: at least 40 thousand men with money, ’hungry’ for women. Those who have not been tested by war, raised on quality European food. And hundreds of thousands of ’hungry’ Ukrainian women who did not manage to leave for various reasons, whose husbands died in the war or were injured," said Vasylenko.

He also cited the example of World War II when Ukrainian territories were under German occupation.

The Student Parliament of the Institute of Journalism at KNU announced a boycott of the administration due to Vasylenko’s appearances on pro-Russian platforms and his sexist statements.
