The well-known volunteer Tymur, the founder of the initiative @timur_and_team_tt, was mobilized right during the evacuation of residents of the Kupyansk district.
The situation caused outrage among the volunteer community, as currently, the evacuation of people in frontline areas largely relies on the personal initiative and dedication of a few activists.
"We understand that there is a war going on, but if volunteers are taken away, who will handle the evacuation of residents of the Kharkiv region?" Tymur’s colleagues comment.
Despite all efforts, the number of volunteers in 2024 is not increasing; on the contrary, it is decreasing. Meanwhile, hardly any new activists are joining.
Why doesn’t the state implement a reservation mechanism for real volunteers so they can continue their important work? This question is becoming increasingly urgent.
