
On the morning of December 25, Russia launched a massive missile strike on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. In particular, the Russians attacked DTEK thermal power plants.
As a result of the enemy strikes, the equipment of the thermal power plants was seriously damaged. This was stated by DTEK.
"Today, the Russian Federation carried out another massive terrorist attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. DTEK thermal power plants were attacked. Due to the massive strike, the equipment of the thermal power plants was seriously damaged. After the shelling ended, energy workers promptly began eliminating the consequences and restoring the operation of the equipment," the company reported.
DTEK noted that since the beginning of the year, this attack on Ukraine’s energy sector by the enemy has been the thirteenth. During ten enemy strikes, the company’s enterprises were affected.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK thermal power plants have been shelled more than 200 times.
