Half a million residents of the Kharkiv region were left without heating as a result of a massive attack by the Russian Federation

500 thousand subscribers in the Kharkiv region have been left without heating.

It concerns 2,677 buildings, reported the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine — the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

"Specialists are working to restore heating as quickly as possible," the report states.

The Russians launched 12 missiles at the city, all of them targeted at boiler houses, thermal power plants, and power facilities, reported city mayor Ihor Terekhov. Stabilization power outages are being implemented in the city and the region, reported the regional energy service.

"However, we managed to ensure the normal operation of the city’s electric transport. All our relevant municipal services will work to maintain the heat and restart the heating system," Terekhov’s statement reads.

Currently, in Kharkiv, all Invincibility Points are open and equipped with everything necessary.

Six people were injured as a result of strikes in several districts of Kharkiv on the morning of December 25. One man was rescued from under the rubble and hospitalized with a fractured thigh and blood loss; he is in a state of medium severity, "closer to severe," reported Suspilne Kharkiv director of the Emergency Medical Assistance Center Viktor Zabashta.

"The other injured are in a state of medium severity, closer to mild. Not all sought hospital treatment, as these are minor injuries from glass and acoustic trauma," Zabashta noted.
