The army of Russian occupiers continues its offensive in the north of the Kharkiv region. Putin’s forces are trying to cross the Volcha River to advance towards Kupyansk.
The enemy aims to wedge into the rear positions of Ukrainian defenders. This was reported by Oleksandr Danylenko, head of the media interaction group of the "Hart" SBGS brigade, on the "Kyiv 24" TV channel here.
According to him, Russian terrorists have not abandoned their plans to capture Kupyansk. Therefore, the enemy is trying to cross the Volcha River to advance to the district center.
Danylenko emphasized that the situation on the Kharkiv front is complicated, but under control. Ukrainian soldiers continue to make efforts to prevent the enemy’s advance.
"All assault actions taking place in Vovchansk or around it are aimed at crossing the Volcha River. This must not be allowed. First, it will create preconditions for the formation of a so-called buffer zone, which will facilitate the shelling of Kharkiv and the advance to Kupyansk," noted Danylenko.
