Soldiers of the DPRK army got drunk on New Year’s Eve, – DIU

On December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025, the Russians continued to involve units of the DPRK army in combat operations in the Kursk region.

North Korean units continue to suffer significant losses among their personnel.

To replace the losses and strengthen their positions, Russian commanders are deploying new military personnel from the DPRK army to the front lines. On December 31 and January 1, groups of North Korean soldiers were moved to positions in the area of the settlements of Ulanok, Fanasiivka, and Cherkaska Konopelka in the Kursk region.

Lower-level commanders (squad/platoon/company) are deceiving their higher command in reports about the actual level of losses among DPRK army soldiers.

The fighting spirit of the soldiers from North Korea has decreased. They are constantly being “processed” by Russian military propaganda about the “great significance” of the DPRK army’s participation in the war against Ukraine.

On New Year’s Eve, there were recorded cases of alcohol abuse among North Korean soldiers, including those involved in combat operations.
