Details of the manslaughter in the Sumy Recruitment Center

It should be reminded that the local publication SumyToday reported that on December 29, 40-year-old Yevhen Kryvodub sustained a cranial injury in the Sumy Recruitment Center. He died from the injuries and was buried on January 1.

According to the deceased’s aunt, on December 29 around 3:00 pm, Yevhen called his common-law wife from an unknown number and said that he was taken to the Recruitment Center, went through the medical commission, and would be sent to the war. There was no further contact with him.

The next day, the family was informed that Yevhen had supposedly drunk "half a liter of vodka," after which he felt unwell and was taken to the hospital.

Yevhen was found in the regional hospital. His aunt was informed that he was brought there with a cranial injury. On December 31, it became known that he had died.

"The man was delivered to the hospital by an ambulance at 8:45 am on December 30. At 8:50, the patient was already hospitalized in the intensive care unit with a suspected cranial injury. Resuscitation measures were carried out, but the injuries were severe, leading to the patient’s death on December 31," commented Mykola Savchenko, deputy director for communications of the Sumy Regional Clinical Hospital, on the situation.
