Biden held a phone call with Zelenskyy and confirmed that the United States would continue to support Ukraine.
This was reported at a briefing by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Zelenskyy also spoke about the phone call with Biden.
“We discussed the details of the new U.S. sanctions package against Russian energy, which helps Putin finance the war. It is very important that America has now struck at the shadow tanker fleet of Russia and companies like Gazpromneft and Surgutneftegaz, which accumulate funds personally for Putin,” he wrote.
Additionally, according to Zelenskyy, they “discussed the situation on the battlefield and the need to further strengthen our air shield.”
