Border guards in the Odesa region detained a group of draft dodgers
In the Odesa region, border guards stopped a car that turned out to be packed with men of conscription age.
As stated in the report of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS), the driver and 10 passengers attempted to illegally cross the border into Moldova by contacting an organizer from a Telegram channel.
"For such ’assistance,’ each person had to pay between $7,000 and $10,000 to a cryptocurrency wallet, but the plan failed thanks to the vigilance of the border guards," the statement says.
The SBGS noted that the driver now faces criminal liability, while the passengers face administrative liability.
