Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, assured that he banned the transfer of highly qualified Air Force personnel to the infantry.
He reported this in an interview with journalist Andriy Tsapliyenko.
"There is my directive that prohibits the transfer of highly qualified specialists who have been trained and specialize directly in aircraft maintenance. These are specialists on whom funds have been spent, who have experience, and who are practically irreplaceable. On the other hand, we have a need to increase the personnel at the front. We must increase the personnel numbers in our mechanized brigades, and unfortunately, mobilization capabilities do not cover this need," he noted.
"Therefore, we are taking measures to reduce our logistical component, the supply and maintenance component. Again, within reasonable limits. The headquarters know these tasks, they have conducted the necessary calculations," Syrskyi added.
