In the night of January 20, explosions were heard again in the city of Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation). Military objects were attacked by unknown drones.

This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andriy Kovalenko in Telegram.

"These are not the first attacks, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to protect the skies of Russia," said Kovalenko.

He reminded that the city hosts several important aviation enterprises that play a key role in the Russian military-industrial complex.

Among them is the Kazan Aviation Plant named after Gorbunov, which is engaged in the production of strategic bombers Tu-22M3 and Tu-160, as well as their modernization and repair. "The plant is actively expanding, particularly for servicing these aircraft," stated the CCD head.

According to him, another important enterprise is the Kazan Helicopter Plant, which specializes in the production of helicopters for military and civilian purposes.

The city also hosts the Kazan State Gunpowder Plant, which manufactures gunpowder and explosives for aviation munitions and missiles such as "Kalibr" and "Iskander," added Kovalenko.
