During the summer period, students, postgraduate students, and lecturers can be called up for service, stated MP Hryshchuk.

He believes that the current Cabinet of Ministers’ decree on deferment needs to be changed because the current wording "contradicts the law and can lead to rather ambiguous interpretations."

"According to this decree, deferment is granted until the end of the academic year, that is until May-June. So what about lecturers during the summer months? Students face similar risks," writes Hryshchuk.

He is confident that the document will be amended.
