In Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk region, where battles for the settlement are ongoing, there is no threat of encirclement of Ukrainian units.

This was reported by fighters of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

"Let us note immediately, there is no threat of encirclement of our units. Our defenders fight like lions with incredible bravery," the report states.

The soldiers reported that the Russian Armed Forces, with large infantry forces, tried to block Ukrainian strong points. As a result, the use of equipment on both the Ukrainian and Russian sides was nullified. Everything that approached within a kilometer of the line of contact was destroyed.

According to them, regarding artillery and FPV drones, they have approximate parity with the enemy, but the Russians have a significant advantage in infantry numbers.

"But we have drained them quite a bit and continue to do so. From the areas where encirclement threats arose, our units skillfully withdrew using the weather conditions. This does not mean we have completely left the town, battles in Velyka Novosilka continue. All actions are aimed at minimizing our own losses and maximizing enemy losses," reported the 110th Brigade.

The military emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces will not succeed in continuing their offensive from the settlement. In particular, a typical situation has arisen – "the main thing is to plant the flag." Meanwhile, the Mokri Yaly River, which created issues for the supply of Defence Forces units, has become an obstacle to the advancement of the Russian Armed Forces.

"Having entered Velyka Novosilka, the enemy has ended up in a fiery bag, where they will find no peace, any movement is suppressed by shells and drones. Regarding the town itself, there are no intact buildings left in the settlement," added the brigade.
