Zelenskyy appointed the head of the Ground Forces Drapatyi to lead operations in the South-Donetsk direction

Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi has received a new appointment — he will lead the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Khortytsia» in one of the most challenging sections of the front on the Southern Donetsk direction.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address:
«Major General Drapatyi has been deployed to manage forces in the most brutal directions of the battles».

At the same time, Drapatyi will retain his authority as the Commander of the Ground Forces.
