In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who, according to the investigation, "mined" several capital infrastructure facilities. The perpetrator faces up to eight years in prison.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv police. The court has chosen detention as a preventive measure for him, with the option of posting bail.

As law enforcement officers explained, recently an unknown person called the emergency line 102 and reported that he had mined several buildings in the capital and was planning to set off explosive devices shortly.

"Patrol police officers, investigative teams, and representatives of relevant services immediately arrived at the indicated locations. During the inspection of the buildings and structures, no dangerous or suspicious items were found," the press service reported.

The police established that the bomb threat was made by a 44-year-old native of the Donetsk region, who currently resides in the capital. He could not rationally explain his actions.
