A Russian BMP-2 with ammunition spent two years at the bottom of a reservoir.

Fighters of the 106th Battalion of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade captured an enemy BMP-2, which had spent two years underwater.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defence publication “Army.inform.”

During the retreat from the temporarily occupied territory, the Russians left armored vehicles with a full ammunition load submerged in one of the ponds.

During subsequent battles, a dam on this reservoir was damaged, the water level rapidly fell, and the fighters spotted an enemy BMP in the middle of the pond.

The enemy armored vehicle was pulled ashore and after repair, it will start destroying the Russians.

“If our soldiers had enough modern equipment, perhaps it wouldn’t be necessary to risk their lives and health for such ’monsters’," commented the fighters of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade on this unique trophy.
