RF attacked Ukraine with 65 drones: Air Defence Forces shot down 37 targets

Ukrainian Air Forces shot down 37 attack drones during a Russian air attack on the night of February 4, and the remaining decoy targets were also neutralized. Meanwhile, due to falling debris, damage was recorded in the Cherkasy and Sumy regions.

Air defence operated in five regions. The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on repelling the attack, which lasted from 8:00 PM the previous day.

It is reported that the enemy attacked with 65 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of UAV decoys from the areas of Oryol, Kursk, and Bryansk (Russia).

The air strike was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and Ukraine’s Defence Forces. The destruction of 37 drones has been confirmed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy regions.

Additionally, 28 Russian UAV decoys were lost locationally (without negative consequences).

At night, anti-aircraft gunners destroyed 14 Russian attack drones over the Sumy region. At the same time, according to the regional state administration, one UAV fell on the territory of the Buryn community, where over 30 windows in residential buildings and over 20 in an educational institution were damaged by the blast wave; another one fell in the Sumy community, where one summer house was destroyed, and four were damaged. No people were injured as a result of these events.

Rescuers promptly extinguished the fire hotspots in the summerhouse cooperative and inspected the area.

In the Cherkasy region, sky defenders destroyed 12 "shahids," while debris falling in Cherkasy caused fires on the territory of three private enterprises.

Following the nighttime attack on the Kyiv region, drone debris was found on several floors of an 18-story unfinished building in the Pechersk district of the capital, with a window being damaged nearby in a primary healthcare center. No destruction or casualties occurred, and there was no fire.
