General Moysyuk and Captain Churkin have been appointed as Deputy Ministers of Defence of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the new Deputy Ministers of Defence of Ukraine.

This was reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

The new Deputy Ministers of Defence are Yevhen Moysyuk and Valeriy Churkin.

Additionally, the appointment was commented on by the Minister of Defence, Rustem Umyerov, who proposed their candidacies.

"Lieutenant General Yevhen Moysyuk is one of the most experienced officers in our army, a combat commander. His area of responsibility includes the development and formation of the Defence Forces, including mobilization and training of fighters. Moysyuk’s experience covers command of the Air Assault Forces, serving as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and participation in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and Iraq," the minister noted.

"An officer and combat participant who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the early days of the full-scale invasion, a leader in the field of military technology, and head of the Center for the Scaling of Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a deputy minister, he will focus on defense innovations and technological development of the Ukrainian army. His unit is already implementing over 50 key projects in the field of military IT and MILTECH, introducing modern solutions on the battlefield. In his new position, an expansion of this work is expected," he explained.
