NRC: In the occupied Donetsk region, the humanitarian crisis is worsening
Russians are failing to provide people in the occupied territories with basic utility services. Because of this, many houses in the Donetsk region remain without water and heat.
This was reported by the National Resistance Center.
The occupiers continue to demonstrate their inability to provide even basic utility services for the residents.
«Over the past day alone, more than 275 accidents on the water supply networks in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk have been recorded, which is direct evidence of the complete destruction of the communication system and its inability to function without proper maintenance», the report says.
Despite the occupiers’ claims of controlling the situation, the problem of insufficient water supply remains critical. According to the Center for National Resistance, many houses in the region do not have access to centralized water supply.
About 19 new damages to the heating networks are recorded daily, of which utility workers manage to eliminate only a small part. This means that a certain number of local residents are constantly left without heat during the winter period.
