Member of the Irpin City Council Oleksandr Pikulyk, who heads the commission on land relations, forestry, and environmental issues, is being investigated for concealing assets and false declaration.
A criminal case has been initiated for submitting false data in declarations for the years 2018-2023.
The case was initiated by the public organization «For a Better Life», which submitted a request to the Office of the Prosecutor General. As a result of the inspection, law enforcement officers discovered discrepancies in the deputy’s declarations and opened a criminal case under Part 1, Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code.
According to the case materials, Pikulyk did not indicate his rights to use real estate and assets that actually belong to him in his declarations.
The politician did not mention his common-law wife, with whom he has been living for about 25 years and raising a daughter. According to the investigation, the undisclosed data helped conceal assets and businesses registered in the name of the common-law wife.
A land plot covering 15 acres was not declared until 2023, even though the value of land in this area is at least 10 thousand dollars per acre. In 2020, Pikulyk declared an income of over 41 million hryvnias from the sale of land to the company «Novus Ukraine». However, in previous declarations, these plots were not listed among his assets.
Investigators have already approached the court with a request to access Pikulyk’s full declarations for the years 2018-2023, which may become evidence in the case.
