The Verkhovna Rada has adopted in its entirety a bill on the purchase of reactors from Bulgaria for the third and fourth power units of the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant.
This was reported by Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
261 members voted in favor. Of them, 190 were from "Servant of the People," "Batkivshchyna" - 15, former OPFL "Platform for Life and Peace" - 16, "For the Future" - 9, "Trust" - 14, former OPFL "Restoration of Ukraine" - 12, and five non-affiliated members.
The bill does not specify the contract’s value, but it involves hundreds of millions of dollars. The Bulgarian parliament previously authorized negotiations for the sale of equipment for no less than 600 million euros.
