Russians complain about a "massive" drone attack in the Lipetsk region

Explosions occurred in the Lipetsk region (RF) and in the city area on the night of February 13. Air defence forces and systems are operating in the region due to an attack using drones.

This was reported by the governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, and Russian Telegram channels.

The Russian official stated after two in the morning that an air threat regime was introduced throughout the Lipetsk region.

Later, he announced the threat of a UAV attack in Lipetsk and the municipal district, as well as in the city of Yelets and the Yeletsky district, and also in the city of Gryazi and the Gryazinskiy district.

The Lipetsk governor also asked "not to publish photos and videos of the air defence operation, the consequences of drone attacks, or their flights."

"Attention! The region has experienced a massive UAV raid. Air defence and suppression means are in operation," he wrote on social media later.

It should be noted that in Lipetsk public groups, there were reports of explosion sounds heard in the region. Notably, a Telegram channel reported, citing Lipetsk residents, that there were 12 explosions in the industrial part of the city.

Residents of the city of Yelets also complained about a large number of "pops and buzzing" amid the drone attack.

It is also assumed in the network that the target of the drone attack in Lipetsk may be a tractor plant.

Later, Governor Artamonov reported that power was lost in several areas of the city of Lipetsk amid the UAV attack.

"Currently, energy workers are reconnecting consumers," the official wrote on his Telegram.

Subsequently, the governor said that "operational services are checking information about the fall of UAV debris in Lipetsk and Lipetsk MO."

As stated by the governor of the Lipetsk region, "the fall of UAV debris on the territory of two private households" was recorded.

According to the Russian official, there were no casualties, and "operational services are working on-site."

The Lipetsk governor also reported that due to the UAV debris on the territory of the Lipetsk aeration station, "an employee of the enterprise was injured." She was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds, and the aeration station’s operation "was not disrupted."

In addition, energy workers informed him that electricity supply in Lipetsk was restored. However, the governor admitted that not everyone might have power yet.
