The USA exchanged Alexander Vinnik, a Russian, for Fogel
The United States released and handed over to Russia the Russian citizen Alexander Vinnik as part of an exchange.
Prior to this, Russia released American teacher Mark Fogel.
Vinnik was detained in Greece in 2017 on charges of operating a cryptocurrency platform through which significant amounts of money were laundered.
