Kursk region may become part of a future exchange in the process of restoring territorial integrity.
The Kursk region is not included in Ukraine’s territorial claims, as the main goal is the return of Ukrainian territories.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during the press conference "Ukraine. Year 2025".
"We will not attribute the Kursk region to Ukraine. We are primarily interested in our territories," Zelenskyy emphasized.
However, the president noted that in the future, when Ukraine considers issues of territorial integrity, the Kursk region may become a subject of exchange.
He noted that, nonetheless, the exchange of territories could be part of the strategy to restore sovereignty.
"In any case, the Kursk region may become an important element for us in the exchange of territories when we are achieving our goal in the issue of territorial integrity," he said.
