The United Kingdom has announced the largest aid package for Ukraine

This was reported with a reference to the head of the British government, Keir Starmer, during the "Support Ukraine" summit.

"We must further strengthen Ukraine to ensure lasting peace, not just a pause in this war. And we can do this in three ways. First, if we increase military assistance to Ukraine. And the United Kingdom is doing this - providing 4.5 billion pounds in military assistance, more than ever before," he stated.

The British Prime Minister also announced the largest package of sanctions against Russia. According to him, he will also discuss this during the "Group of Seven" (G7) meeting.

"I believe the G7 countries must lower oil prices and participate in all sanctions," the Prime Minister stressed.

According to Starmer, today Kyiv’s partners have the opportunity to lay the foundations for lasting peace. In particular, he emphasized that Ukraine must be at the negotiating table.

"And we must build sovereignty for Ukraine and strong security guarantees. The United Kingdom is ready to support this with its troops in Ukraine along with Europeans under the right conditions," he added.
