The UN Security Council approved the resolution proposed by the USA on issues concerning Ukraine.
The resolution was adopted in its original, neutral format, without condemning Russia’s invasion. The document calls for the "immediate end of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict" and the establishment of a long-lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia.
10 countries voted in favor: USA, China, Russia, Algeria, Guyana, Sierra Leone, South Korea, Pakistan, Panama, Somalia, while 5 countries abstained: the United Kingdom, France, Greece, Slovenia, Denmark.
Thus, for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war, the USA, Russia, and China supported the resolution on Ukraine with a joint vote.
The United Kingdom and France had the option to veto but did not do so.
