Two citizens of Azerbaijan organized the illegal importation into Ukraine and distribution of over 20 types of Russian medicinal products. They sold everything that was in demand — antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, immunomodulators, cognitive stimulants, etc.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

"Operatives from the Department of Strategic Investigations tracked the scheme of the illegal importation of Russian medicines into Ukraine: it was established that the medications were sent from Russia to Moldova by regular buses. There, the perpetrators personally collected them and brought them into Ukraine, bypassing customs control.

According to preliminary estimates, the perpetrators paid Russian pharmacies at least one and a half million hryvnias for the goods.

Investigators from the National Police gathered sufficient evidence and charged two organizers — the owners of a pharmacy network and two pharmacists, with conducting business activities in collaboration with the aggressor state, committed as part of an organized group (Part 3 of Article 28, Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The suspects face up to five years in prison with confiscation of property.

Additionally, the police reported the discovered fact to the regulatory authority, which decided to revoke the entrepreneurs’ license for conducting retail and wholesale trade of medicinal products," the message from the National Police states.
