Counterattacks to the south and southwest of Pokrovsk are the first signs of some stabilization on this section of the front.
This assessment of the situation on the northern flank of the Pokrovsk direction was given by Ukrainian military journalist Bohdan Myroshnykov on Telegram.
"Full stabilization is still a long way off," he writes. - "However, it seems that a start has been made."
Myroshnykov notes that Pokrovsk may become the first major city in the Donetsk region that the enemy will ultimately be unable to capture.
But he prefers to speak about this "very cautiously": "Everything can change significantly."
"The possibility to defend Pokrovsk from occupation exists," the observer believes, "but whether it will be realized or not will only be shown by time and the readiness of the enemy to finally lose its overall offensive potential under the fortifications in Pokrovsk. The enemy is strong, persistent, and insidious. We do not know how far they can go in their desire to capture the city."
It is also important to determine what will be more of a priority for the Russians: Pokrovsk or Kostyantynivka (i.e., the Kramatorsk-Slovyansk agglomeration).
