Zelenskyy is supported by almost half of Ukrainians, — survey
49% of surveyed Ukrainians support the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This is evidenced by the results of a sociological study conducted by Gradus Research on March 1.
As noted by the company, this support has "significantly increased" against the backdrop of the tense meeting between the presidents of the United States and Ukraine at the White House on February 28.
Last week, following Donald Trump’s resonant statements about Zelenskyy’s low rating, Gradus Research conducted a rapid survey among 1,000 respondents, according to which public support for Zelensky was 23%. According to this survey, Zelenskyy ranked first among opponents. At the same time, the sociological group did not disclose the figures of other potential candidates or their list.
According to the results of the new survey, 44% of respondents also answered that things in Ukraine are moving in the right direction, whereas in December 2024, 36% thought so. Meanwhile, 36% of surveyed Ukrainians said that things are moving in the wrong direction (in December 2024, 42% thought so).
58% of respondents believe that elections during martial law in the country should not be held. Last week, 52% of surveyed Ukrainians responded this way.
The research was conducted through a self-administered questionnaire in the Gradus mobile application. Sample size: 1,000 respondents. The sample reflects the structure of the population of cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants aged 18-60 by gender, age, size of settlement, and region, excluding temporarily occupied territories and territories with active hostilities.
