The Russians have changed their tactics for attacks on Odesa and the region by starting to use "Shahed" kamikaze drones simultaneously rather than in turns.
Local media report this by analyzing the latest strikes.
Previously, Russian forces launched drones at intervals of 15-20 seconds, allowing Ukrainian air defences to effectively direct forces and shoot down most of the targets. However, in recent attacks, the Russians prepare a strike group of 15-20 "Shaheds," arranging them several kilometers over the sea, and then inflict simultaneous strikes on several targets within 10 minutes.
This new approach has significantly complicated countermeasures. Effective defence against such a "swarm" requires more numerous fire air defence groups, which makes the task more challenging for Ukrainian defence forces.
