Visa and Mastercard resume operations after a global outage

This morning, issues arose with the Visa and Mastercard payment systems, causing temporary difficulties for Ukrainian users. However, the system was subsequently restored, according to Ukrainian banks.

According to the Downdetector service, which tracks online service outages, the situation is gradually normalizing.

Ukrainian bankers noted that the disruption was at a global level, and it is rare for both international payment systems to fail simultaneously. They advise users to have cards from both systems to minimize risks in case of outages.

"Sometimes such situations occur, but they are quite rare," experts explained.
