In the village in the Vinnytsia region, a monument of Lenin was transformed into Taras Shevchenko

In the village of Korzhivka, located in the Rayhorod community of the Haisyn district, a monument to Lenin was transformed into Taras Shevchenko. The bust was given a mustache and eyebrows for greater resemblance.

This is reported by the public organization for tourist travel "Ukraine Incognita".

"Lenin became Taras Shevchenko. The inventive residents of the village of Korzhivka in Vinnytsia region added a mustache and eyebrows to the leader of the proletariat. Isn’t it Kobzar? We couldn’t figure out why Shevchenko was wearing a tie for a long time. Everything fell into place when we deciphered the numbers under the bust, once covered with lime. Some lime had chipped off. There are the years of Lenin’s life - 1870-1924," the message states.

Let us recall that this year on March 10 marks the 164th anniversary of Kobzar’s death.
