The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported on the operational situation in the "Kursk" military group area on the border of the Sumy region with Russia.

Control and Defence:

The situation on the border is under the control of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Despite the enemy’s attempts to advance, Ukrainian troops are effectively holding back the attacks.

Enemy Losses:

Russia is deploying a significant number of troops for offensive actions, including North Korean infantry. However, due to the effective actions of Ukrainian units, the enemy is suffering serious losses. In just four days of fighting in the area of Plekhov, nearly a battalion of Russian infantry has been destroyed.

Destruction of Sabotage and Reconnaissance Groups:

Individual sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as well as small enemy infantry groups attempting to penetrate Ukrainian territory, are being destroyed by pre-prepared firepower.

Strengthening of Ukrainian Forces:

General Syrskyi has decided to further strengthen the group, particularly with electronic warfare (EW) equipment and drones.

Maneuvers of Ukrainian Units:

At present, there is no threat of encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the combat zone. The units are maneuvering and have taken advantageous defensive positions.

Summary:

The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to effectively resist the Russian aggressor, inflicting significant losses on them.
