
The attack on Moscow and the Moscow region was carried out by strike drones. Explosions were heard in the capital and several settlements of the Moscow region, and smoke arose due to the activities of the air defense system.
This was reported by the Telegram of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the Russian publication ASTRA and Russian public pages.
In particular, witnesses reported explosions in the area of Kutuzovsky Avenue in Moscow.
Additionally, in New Moscow, a drone hit a private house in the Rosinter-2 cottage settlement. A fragment hit a room on the second floor and damaged three cars and an ATV parked on the property.
It is also reported that in Moscow, UAV debris fell on the canopy of an entrance of the Avangard residential complex. On Lesteva Street, a drone crashed into an apartment building.
The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergey Sobyanin reported on the results of the air defense actions.
"The attack of four drones aimed at Moscow was repelled by the forces of the air defence. Specialists from emergency services are working on the sites where debris fell," he noted.
Explosions in the Moscow region
Additionally, residents of the Moscow region towns of Odintsovo and Shchyolkovo reported explosions. The air defense was activated there.
Residents of the Moscow suburb of Balashikha recorded smoke in the city after explosions caused by air defence activities.
Also in Balashikha, witnesses discovered a missile from air defence means.
