Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development, Mykhailo Fedorov, stated that in the event of a threat of Starlink disconnection, Ukraine will be able to "effectively adapt".

He announced this during an interview on the YouTube channel "Red Line".

"The situation is currently under control. We are in close dialogue with the company itself, and it has been publicly stated that information about a possible disconnection of Starlink is not true. Therefore, there is no need to worry at this time," Fedorov noted.

He pointed out that the satellite communication system is used not only in the military sphere but also in the civilian sector - in particular, in educational institutions, medical facilities, energy sites, and logistics.

"It is important to understand that Ukraine does not receive Starlink as a free aid. We cooperate with international partners, such as Poland and Germany, who finance the purchase of thousands of terminals for us. In addition, we pay for their support," Fedorov explained.

The Deputy Prime Minister also mentioned that an electronic Starlink monitoring system has been created in Ukraine, which allows the prompt disconnection of damaged terminals to optimize partner costs.

Commenting on the potential threat of Starlink disconnection, the minister assured that Ukraine has a clear action plan in case such a scenario develops.

"President Zelenskyy immediately initiated the search for alternative solutions, and appropriate steps have already been taken. Therefore, even in the event of a disconnection threat, we will be able to effectively adapt," Fedorov stated.

The minister added that a complete refusal of Starlink would significantly complicate the situation, but Ukraine will find a way out.

At the same time, he does not rule out the possibility of Starlink’s use by the Russian side.

"Theoretically, it is possible, and we must be ready for such a scenario. However, our response will be even more technological. We are considering other communication options that will allow us to compensate for any risks. And if Starlink falls into enemy hands, we will destroy its infrastructure," Fedorov concluded.
