In Odesa, the detained Armed Forces of Ukraine officer was charged with the murder of activist Hanul

Military officer Serhiy Shalaya, a senior lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is officially suspected of intentionally killing Odesa activist Serhiy Hanul.

This was reported by the prosecutor’s office.

Shalaya is accused under articles of intentional murder and illegal handling of weapons. The investigation believes that the crime was premeditated, and its motives are not disclosed yet.

The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion with the court requesting to detain the officer without bail.
