Telegram has surpassed 1 billion monthly active users, - Durov
The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, announced that the number of active users of the messenger has significantly exceeded 1 billion per month, making it the second most popular messenger in the world, surpassed only by WeChat, which is primarily used in China.
In addition, user engagement has increased: on average, they open Telegram 21 times a day and spend 41 minutes in the app.
Durov also noted a record growth in the company’s revenue, which amounted to $547 million in 2024.
