The Armed Forces of Ukraine near Chasiv Yar destroyed a Russian "Hiatsynt-S" gun
Near Chasiv Yar, Ukrainian forces delivered a powerful strike against Russian invaders. Our warriors destroyed a Russian long-range self-propelled artillery unit 2S5 "Hiatsynt-S".
The relevant footage was demonstrated by the press service of the OSG "Khortytsia". "A long-range artillery unit, the self-propelled gun "Hiatsynt-S", was destroyed near Chasiv Yar," the report stated.
The invaders attempted to hide their gun among buildings, but thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance, which identified the enemy’s location, a successful attack was carried out.
The gun was hit by two kamikaze drones, leading to its complete destruction. As a result of this operation, a Russian invader who attempted to escape on an ATV was also eliminated. Several Russian army attackers were also killed – they literally "burned" at their post.
The self-propelled gun 2S5 "Hiatsynt-S" is a Soviet artillery unit with a 152 mm caliber that is actively used during the war. According to the Oryx Blog, as of October 2024, Russia lost 69 such units: 63 were destroyed and 6 were captured by Ukrainian Armed Forces.
