The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, responded to the nighttime drone attack on Kyiv on the night of March 23.
In his Telegram channel, he emphasized that this week, Russia has launched over 1,580 guided aerial bombs, nearly 1,100 attack drones, and 15 different missiles at Ukraine.
According to Zelenskyy, all of this weaponry contains at least 102,000 foreign components.
He also added that sanctions against Russia need to be more effective, and every scheme that allows them to bypass the sanction regime must be eliminated.
"New decisions are needed, new pressure on Moscow, to stop such strikes and end this war. We must strengthen Ukraine and our army — more air defense systems and real assistance. I thank all partners who understand this and continue to support Ukraine," added Zelenskyy.
On the night of March 23, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv with attack drones, and several series of loud explosions were heard in the city. Later, the mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klychko, reported fragments hitting several residential apartment buildings.
As a result of the nighttime Russian attack in Kyiv, 10 people were injured, and three more were killed. Among the dead was a 5-year-old child, and among the injured was an infant.
