In the Ternopil region, a man was detained for the illegal sale of ammunition
The investigative department of Police Unit No. 4 in the city of Zalishchyky has charged a 37-year-old resident of the local community with committing a crime under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
He faces up to seven years of imprisonment for the committed offense.
According to the police press service, during operational measures, police officers received information that a resident of one of the settlements in the Zalishchyky community was illegally storing ammunition and explosives and was looking for a buyer to sell the dangerous goods. The perpetrator was detained during the sale. Two grenades with fuses and a TNT block were seized from him.
According to expert conclusions, the material evidence poses a threat.
Pre-trial investigation continues. Police are establishing the origin of the ammunition and explosives, as well as checking the suspect’s involvement in other crimes.
