
Since the beginning of the operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation (RF), over 55 thousand units of manpower have been lost.
This is reported with reference to the Facebook page of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"In connection with the increased intensity of enemy actions and attempts by the enemy to displace and transfer military operations to the territory of Sumy region, I worked in the Sumy region with brigades of the Airborne Assault Forces, marine corps, territorial defence, mechanized and other units," Syrskyi wrote.
According to him, the group of troops "Kursk," as well as our military personnel, continue the defensive operation to prevent the enemy from breaking through into the depths of Ukraine. For the same purpose, Ukrainian fighters continue effective counteroffensive and assault actions.
"During the work, I thoroughly studied all problematic issues regarding the organization of combat support, as well as made decisions regarding the replenishment of ammunition, drones, and the movement of reserves," he added.
As Syrskyi noted, seven and a half months since the start of the Kursk operation, Russian losses have exceeded 55 thousand people, among them:
