The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the situation near Toretsk has changed

The Russian occupation army has increased the intensity of hostilities in Toretsk and is trying to bypass the city from the sides.

This was reported by the deputy commander of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, Svyatoslav Lesyuk.

According to him, the occupiers have managed to regroup and receive reinforcements. With these resources, the enemy continues assaults in the urban area, hoping to capture the city.

"Back at the beginning of February, they hurried to report to Moscow that Toretsk had been taken. In reality, this did not happen, and now they have to throw in additional forces," the military officer noted.

Lesyuk also reported that the attempts of the occupation forces to bypass Toretsk from the sides have so far been unsuccessful, as neighboring brigades are actively operating there, preventing the enemy from advancing.
