Reconnaissance by combat: The AFU destroyed 20 paratroopers and Russian equipment near Vovchansk

In the area of the city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, Russian forces have increased their activity. The occupiers are attempting to resume assaults by deploying heavier military equipment in this direction, noted Vladyslav Dyachuk, the press officer of the combat brigade of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine "Forpost" on the air of Suspilne.

"However, they are not successful because we have prepared in advance for these offensive actions and have mined the front line," he stated.

According to him, the assaults attempted by the Russians were of a reconnaissance nature. Dyachuk emphasized that Ukrainian forces neutralized 20 Russian paratroopers and destroyed three light tracked armored tractors (MT-LB) before they even reached their positions.

"They didn’t even manage to leave the ’gray’ zone before they were already defeated. It resembles reconnaissance by combat, I think there will be more similar assault actions to identify our weak points," the press officer added.
