Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed his intention to support Ukraine and rejected the possibility of concluding peace on Moscow’s terms.

This became known from an interview with the official on Radio-Canada.

The head of the government indicated that Canada still needs to assess the conditions under which it could join a peacekeeping mission.

Carney emphasized that the country is currently part of the so-called Coalition of the Willing under the coordination of France and the United Kingdom, and this is one of the topics he discusses with the leaders of these countries.

The Canadian Prime Minister also stressed that no peace agreement should be concluded without Ukraine’s consent and called any ultimatums from the Kremlin, including demands to change the central government in Kyiv, unacceptable.

"I am very proud of how the Canadian government and Canadians, in general, support the Ukrainian people. I categorically reject the possibility of concluding peace without Ukraine’s participation and any demands from the Russian dictator Putin regarding the removal of President Zelenskyy," Carney stated.
